ABOUT MARLA

Marla Kristicevich is a contemporary artist and environmental sculptor residing and creating in Lafayette, Louisiana. Utilizing natural objects, materials, and textures, Kristicevich creates ephemeral installations and sculptures that evoke nostalgia and a sense of place.

 

She is deeply invested in the visual impact and lasting impression her art leaves on viewers. The process of collecting materials, the geographical context, and the impermanence inherent in these materials are pivotal aspects of her work.

Kristicevich earned her BFA from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2005 and a Certification in Regenerative and Ecological Design from ECOSA Institute in Prescott, Arizona, in 2010.
